Dear Fedizens

we have an idea to use a "fair exchange" solution for trading without money (goods & services earn and cost points instead of normal money). Is there a mobile-first app or software that can work offline or in a LAN for managing how many points everybody has? Maybe including basic social tools like account/login + chat and groups or pages?

Purism plans to include PIA-based VPN by default in the Librem 5 phone, as well as within PureOS for its Librem 13 and Librem 15 laptops. Purism will also collaborate with PIA on a future services bundle.โ€

I think I *might* have (finally) a found a decent distributor in ..... maybe ....

Let's see ...

Enter: The Orville, just to screw up a perfectly good theory.

You know what the difference is between older shows (Stargate SG-1, Farscape, Firefly) and these newer ones (The Expanse, Lost in Space, Star Trek Discovery)?

Those older shows were all lighhearted, fun adventure stories.

These new shows are just so gorram serious all the time.

Hey @switchingsocial,
I'm looking for an (ideally FOSS) alternative to TeamViewer.

I need to support less tech-savvy people using Windows as well as Linux on their computers - and of course it would be great to serve all of them using the same tool...
Most of the host systems don't have a static IP address, and I'm afraid I can't VPN into their local LANs.
Any idea?

Please feel free to retoot - I'm looking forward to any suggestions

Thank you to @natecull for sharing a truly shocking news story about YouTube/Google:

When YT/Google were directly asked to choose between morality and money, they chose money. As a result, Google are financially wealthy but morally bankrupt.

There are better alternatives out there, such as PeerTube:
